Garden Coaching

What is a garden coach?sugar-snap
It is just what it sounds like: a person that is an experienced gardener and a good teacher that wants to help you become a confident and active gardener.

About me
I am formally trained in art and design (MFA from the U of O), but I have been working in gardens all of my life. I joke that I grew up in a family where gardening was like church: I was forced to do it every Sunday. My background is in perennial flower gardens, but my newfound passion is educating people about the benefits of planting natives and edibles. As climate change becomes a real threat, and our global economy tanks, our back yards (literally!) become a place where we can make a difference. We can stop using poison on our lawn, we can plant a native shrub that feeds birds, and we can grow our own veggies. It doesn’t have to be hard or overwhelming! It can be easier than mowing the lawn every week, and I can show you how!
